Satisfy your craving for better marketing results.

Easy-to-use legal templates for your website, online courses, and retreats.

From contact forms to Google Analytics, online courses to donation options… You need more than a vague template you found online (most likely written for American law). You need to understand what all that legalise means and which parts pertain to you!

But of course, you’re not a law professional, and that’s why I recommend Online Legal Essentials Canada. Not only are the templates easy to use, but founder Corrine takes the time to explain what everything means. She has your back, plus they're 30% off starting tomorrow Nov 24th until Dec 1st! Use code BFRI30 to snag the discount.

As an affiliate, I may earn from your purchases, but these are the very templates I use and recommend to all my clients. Trust is earned, and she has mine.

Get the perfect testimonial easily

Nothing builds the “Like, Know, Trust” factor like other people talking about the positive transformation your services provide. But getting testimonials from past clients and customers can be tricky at times.

Jonathan Stark has made getting useful, juicy testimonials simple with his 2-email system. Two quick emails that have really great questions that not only help clients to write faster but also give you a glimpse into their decision-making to choose you, which is marketing gold when you want to replicate more of them!

My question to you: have you been dragging your heels on getting testimonials? It’s ok to ask for them weeks or months after work is complete. You won’t know unless you ask.

How to convince the unconvinced

A 5 minute video by the awesome Seth Godin on how to convince the unconvinced. His answer? You have to get enrollment before you can do a damn thing.

My question to you: how can your marketing achieve the sentiment "Yes, I agree that's what's going on" with your audience before doing into the details and minutiae of your offer?

Is your brand strategy aligned with SEO?

Is there a connection between your brand goals and pleasing Google’s bots? YES: and the secret lies in studying your ideal audience. In a recent episode of the Counsel Cast, I outlined how to align your brand strategy with SEO.

It will be especially useful if you’re sitting on existing blog content and wondering how to make it more appealing for SEO. While this podcast is aimed at law professionals, the conversation applies to any service-based business.

My question to you: do you have in your onboarding or offboarding process how clients found you? And if they answer “Google”, do you make sure to ask what specifically they searched? The answers may surprise you!

“We need to switch email marketing platforms.”

As a marketing or communications director, did the statement above give you a case of nervous poops? 💩

So much can go wrong, get missed, or get mixed up. There’s not only tech to contend with. But strategy and messaging are also to be considered as well. The fate of 100’s or 1000’s of contacts is in your team’s hands. Eeep!

Such a statement used to terrify me, too. But these days, “we need to switch email marketing platforms” makes me giddy. I’m like I was as a kid at Christmas unwrapping the Nintendo Super NES.

Why?

Because I see this transition as an incredible opportunity for small teams:

  • Get clarity on what you want to send now, not what was working years ago.
  • Reconnect with your existing list to build trust.
  • Save time in the long run by dumping things that no longer serve you.
  • Stronger internal understanding of email's role in day-to-day operations.

Anything can be broken down into manageable, clear steps. Even migrating cranky email marketing platforms! Promise.

The key is to have someone experienced with email marketing systems who can help pull the strategy, tech, and messaging bits all together.

Who can consider all the things that can go wrong and make the transition so amazingly right?

Do you have someone like that?
