Fall Back In Love With Your Newsletter" is a 1 hour workshop quirkshop designed to rekindle your relationship with your newsletter.

If you've felt stuck, bored, uninspired or unsure about your list these days, you need this puppy.

There will be laughs. There will be prizes. There will NOT be any of the usual boring things you've come to expect from a Zoom event.

1.
How to share your expertise without feeling icky about it.
A topic that comes up when I coach founders on their marketing is how to share your value without feeling icky doing so. Marketing is just as much about mindset as it is tactics. And we tend to be waaaaaay too hard on ourselves in terms of sounding boastful or self-centered. When really what we're doing is showing how we can help!

Josh Spector has a 3 minute clip that goes over 4 ways you can talk about what you do from a place that centers your audience while providing value.

My question to you: do you check in with self-compassion when you’re feeling vulnerable about your marketing? Don’t forget to treat yourself with the same love and understanding you would give to a friend.

2.
10 Instagram prompts that evoke positivity and curiosity.

Instagram is not my main channel (team LinkedIn here, since Twitter circled the toilet), but the ol ‘Gram is a low-stakes experiment I’ve enjoyed learning about.

One recommendation that popped up was
these 10 caption prompts from Thelucasokeefe. I love that they come from a place of positivity and curiosity. Bonus: they could just as easily be applied to any other channel:

  • Curiosity sparked, let’s explore…
  • Let’s take a moment to appreciate…
  • Grab your favourite ______ and let’s talk about…

My question to you: do you approach some aspects of your marketing as an “experiment”? It can lower the pressure we place upon ourselves and spark some really fantastic moments of creativity!

3.
Personal publishing principles for your website, newsletter, or blog.

In a recent session, a client and I discussed creating guidelines for guest blogging on their website. While technical aspects such as SEO formatting and visuals were on the table, more importantly was thinking on the goals, themes, and point of views the founder wanted represented.

Here’s a simple,
lo-fi way approach to articulate the intention of your content. It feels almost like a manifesto or long missing statement, which is really cool!

My question to you: could you make your own publishing principles? At the very least, it takes things out of your head to help get really clear on your intentions. You can then refer to that document to make impactful decisions faster.

4.
Awesome person who can help you with impact stories and white papers: Erika Cuccaro.

Erika Cuccaro is a content writer who writes compelling stories about volunteers, beneficiaries, ambassadors and employees that help non-profit orgs communicate value and attract new stakeholders.

Her service pages are masterclasses in clear, considerate pages that inform and convert. And she has a very rare skill of translating challenging and delicate topics into content that shows impact and transformation.

My question to you: could you write a story around a client testimonial to help prospects with the context around the transformation you provide? It can be incredibly powerful!
