Satisfy your craving for better B2B marketing results.
#1 Canva tips & tricks even this nerd wasn't aware of
A few years ago I ditched Adobe Creative Suite for Affinity's line of programs. But honestly, Canva is pretty much my default asset creator these days.
The lesser-talked about sibling to market research, audience research is a topic I'm super passionate 'bout. Because it really is the key to getting people to respond to your marketing. It ensures you spend less time making shit no one pays attention to. Haaaaarsh Alison, sure. But your energy is valuable, Darlin! Random acts of marketing (with dropping engagement) is a symptom you're avoiding talking to the people you want to reach.
It's only 12 minutes, so pop me into your ears and enjoy!
My question to you: are you more obsessed about your ideal client than your brand? Cus you kiiinnnda have to be if you want impact.
#3 Free workshop: present with confidence, even if you're an introvert or terrified of public speaking
Speaking confidence is an incredible skills to have in marketing:
Helps you lead your team with intention.
Allows you to create videos and webinars inhouse with ease.
Builds confidence to get the faces of your brand on podcasts and show interviews.
Helps you shine in presenting your value as the mar/comms person to the rest of the company and stakeholders.
My colleague Dayna Kneeland has a free webinar next Thursday called Speak, lead, and present with confidence. This 60-minute free live workshop offers new perspectives and practical skills to help professionals manage anxiety and communicate confidently across all areas of their roles.
Come for the confidence boost, stay for the somatic techniques!
My question to you: could you repurpose written content into video or audio so your ICP can get a dynamic sense of your brand?
What to do, what to do! Consider converting the email address you send from to that of an individual (instead of info@, etc) , and make your content feel like it comes from a person. Yes, this does apply to B2B even if it's not a personal brand. You'll also want to train subscribers to look for your emails in that Promotion tab and move it over to Primary.
Weeeeee! My question to you: do you have a thank you page that subscribers are redirected to so you can manage these expectations?
Is this a photo of PeeWee wearing his bed as a hat while he plays with a feather... or him plotting to steal the world's supply of chippies?
Parrots, pothos, and prospects.
My birds dictate what houseplants I can own. 😓
Before owning parrots, I had this massive 20ft pothos. It made my livingroom look like a jungle. It wowed visitors. And was so easy to care for.
But birds come with a -40ft- list of things toxic to them. Pothos being one of them.
As much as the plant was easy for -me-, if I wanted to live with tiny dinosaurs for 30+ years (seriously), I had to pick plants that would work for them.
I was gutted to have to get rid of my pothos (a gift from an ex girlfriend). Had to be done.
Now I have 4 umbrella trees. They're also easy to grow, give that jungle look... Bonus: my birds nibble them as extra nutrition!
When I put in the time to really understand what the birds needed, I found a great compromise. That had extra benefits!
Let's shift this to the world of B2B marketing for a sec.
When your strategy prioritize what's "convenient" for your team to execute, you get random acts of marketing. And less a chance of attracting prospects.
Which is too bad. Because bonuses are found in that deeper understanding:
More affordable marketing channels.
Easier-to-reach earn media partners.
Ton of time saved by avoiding making stuff that wouldn't work anyway.
My question to you: are you still holding onto your pothos?
Take your B2B marketing challenge from "dammit" to "done"
